Mazda6 wins 2013 Motorcheck.ie Fleet Car Award

The all-new Mazda6 was announced as the winner of D Segment category at the 2013 Motorcheck.ie Fleet Car Awards, beating tough competition from Honda, Hyundai, Skoda and VW.

The 27 shortlisted contenders for the 2013 Motorcheck.ie Fleet Car Awards were subjected to vigorous testing and analysis before the category winners were determined. Marks were awarded for the car’s styling, quality, engine and driving performance, equipment levels, safety, residuals and running costs. 

Explaining their selection of the all-new Mazda6 as segment winner, the expert adjudication panel summarized:  “Stunning looks, lovely drive and smooth ride together with ample boot space.”

Accepting the award, Richard Molloy, Marketing & PR Director, Mazda Ireland, said: “We are delighted the all-new Mazda6 has been chosen as the large saloon car of choice within the fleet sector. Beneath the stunning design package, its Mazda’s SkyActiv Technology that deliver real world savings for fleet drivers. The Mazda6 delivers a best in class package of 108g/km CO₂, 67mpg and 150ps from the clean diesel engine.”

The Mazda6 2.2 Diesel Sport model is available from €31,795, with an attractive finance package with monthly repayments of €383 per month. Generous levels of standard equipment include: i-Eloop regenerative braking, i-Stop (smart engine idling system), integrated Bluetooth®, Cruise Control and 17” Alloys.
