To improve an already successful family car isn't easy, as the Mazda5 is already a byword for practicality and versatility. It has won 37 automotive awards and has consistently been voted one of Europe's most reliable and safe Multi Activity Vehicles.

For the all-new model, we made environmental performance an even higher priority. And because it's a Mazda, we couldn't resist making the new model even more stylish and fun to drive.

A winner, improved. Striking Design Lines

The redesigned Mazda5 has a new body, inspired by Mazda's flowing "Nagare" design language. This gives the car a particularly low drag coefficient ensuring better fuel economy. On the inside, Mazda5 has a new dashboard, steering wheel and centre stack, along with new seats, materials, colours and seat fabrics for enhanced quality feel.

Of course, the all-new model carries on the Mazda5's acclaimed functionality. Its double-sliding rear doors allow exceptional easy entry to the second and third row. When you combine this with the improved 7 seat Karakuri system, it all adds up to the ideal family car.

Enhanced control and driving fun

When developing the all-new model, we focused on achieving a "Harmonized Dynamic Driving Feel" and the result is exceptional linearity, whether accelerating, turning or stopping that provides both driver and passengers with a pleasant ride.

Furthermore, the all-new Mazda5 is designed with more ultra and high-tensile steel reinforcements to be lighter, stiffer and more crash-resistant than its predecessor. Engineers added new suspension, steering and aerodynamic components that deliver a more linear steering feel for more control and predictability.
