The new Mazda2
Given the quantity of safety measures we have packed in, it is no surprise the Mazda2 was awarded the maximum 5-star NCAP. Active safety measures include anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brake-force distribution (EBD) and emergency brake assist (EBA).
In the crash-resistant passenger cell there are up to six airbags (dependant on the grade), plus seatbelts with pre-tensioners and load-limiters. This makes the Mazda2 an extremely safe place to be.
In the event of a collision, the Mazda Advanced Impact Distribution and Absorption System (MAIDAS) disperses impact energy to protect the car's occupants, whilst the beltline and side mirror placement offer improved visibility, to help you avoid trouble in the first place.
The new Mazda2 also has ISOFIX anchorage points in the rear seats.
