Mazda Ireland announced a partnership with TedxDublin which will see the brand sponsor the conference over a 3 year period. TEDxDublin is a one day conference that will bring together artists, scientists, architects and performers for a must experience event on 13th of September which will be presented by the Science Gallery, Trinity College Dublin and will take place at the Bord Gáis Energy theatre.
Mazda has launched www.Mazdarebels.com which is a forum for unconventional thinking and aims to address customers as well as like-minded people: Rebels with a cause who share the same values and beliefs as the convention-defying carmaker.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TED Talks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. Speakers at the Dublin event will include film producer, David Putnam, Emmy Award winner and set production designer, Gemma Jackson and Drag Queen and Gay rights activist, Rory O’Neill aka Panti.
Commenting on the partnership between Mazda and TEDxDublin, Avril Brophy, Marketing Manager, Mazda Ireland said “It is absolutely crucial these days to make a direct connection with your customers, which is exactly what we’ve done with Mazda Rebels. The similarity and synergies between Mazda and TEDx is obvious and as a brand we are aiming to encourage unconventional thinking through our online forum and our partnership with TEDxDublin. We’ve committed to a three year partnership and we are very much looking forward to the event on the 13th of September which will see some of the most dynamic and convention defying key note speakers from both here in Ireland and overseas.”
